The machine must work on the actual material that touches its jaws, rollers or guides. Insulated mailers may combine films, cushioning, fibers and adhesive closures. A description such as foil bag does not identify a heat-sealable surface.
Before comparing equipment, obtain the layer construction, closure drawing and a representative finished mailer, or review our gel packs for shipping food sweat-control, pouch laminate, and VFFS sealing guide when packaging phase-change hydrogels and our shipping frozen food with dry ice venting, hermetic pouch sealing, and UN 1845 guide when specifying cryogenic packouts. Evaluate the thickest fold and loaded bag support as well as a flat sample. Keep material compatibility and production handling in the same trial record.
What to record before making a change
Keep the material or packout revision, the incoming component condition and the acceptance criterion in the same record. Compare an assembled sample with the approved drawing or instruction. A visual fit check helps find assembly errors; temperature performance needs evidence for the complete shipping configuration.
