ThermopodInside the finished pack.
The complete field journal
Five guides to the materials and operations inside an insulated pack. Start with constructions, then follow fit, slitting, forming and sealing.
Field note / protective mailers
Plan EPS foam shipper-wall inspection: record fracture appearance, dry molded-part weight and liquid-water checks with a downloadable acceptance worksheet.
Field note / liner converting
Plan polyurethane foam liner callouts for cell structure, compression set, material thickness and cut-edge inspection, with a drawing handoff checklist.
Field note / protective mailers
Inspect vacuum insulated panels for barrier damage, separate panel-edge heat flow from shipper joint gaps, and record receiving and reuse decisions.
Field note / protective mailers
Compare cold shipping boxes by ASTM C518 thermal shipping box r value, 3D corner seam derating, and wall thickness coolant sizing for insulated boxes for shipping frozen food.
Field note / insulated packaging machinery
Specify gel packs for shipping food by phase-change temperature, non woven vs poly gel pack condensation control, and how many gel packs to ship frozen food vs chilled loads.
Field note / liner converting
Compare insulated box liners across 1-piece gusseted foil bubble box liner pouches and 2-piece die-cut thermal box liner for shipping blanks, corner leakage, and ISTA hold.
Field note / protective mailers
Specify insulated bubble mailers by VMPET metallized foil bubble mailer layer build, ASTM F88 side-weld vs. PSA seal integrity, and thermal bubble mailers for chocolate PCM sizing.
Field note / insulated packaging machinery
Engineer shipping frozen food with dry ice: calculate how much dry ice to ship frozen food across 24–96h, prevent CO2 liner rupture, and meet UN1845 dry ice packaging requirements.
Field note / insulated packaging machinery
Identify the seal interface in an insulated mailer and prepare a material compatibility trial before selecting bag sealing equipment.
Field note / liner converting
A practical traveler for insulated liner production: connect material identity, blank geometry, folds, joining and carton assembly.
Field note / protective mailers
Record carton interior, liner build, payload space and closure allowance, then check an assembled sample before approving the fit.
Field note / liner converting
Define web structure, roll inputs, slit pattern and output acceptance for insulation materials before evaluating slitting equipment.
Field note / protective mailers
Compare insulated mailers, lined cartons and rigid containers by material construction, converting route and finished-pack checks.
